Bokehful

Ello ello!
Another day, another post - do you see that I'm actually trying this time?
Aaaanyway, let's get down to business.

Another photography style/thing/whatever you want to call it  I like to shoot (A LOT) but don’t really end up posting are macro shots with some nice blurred bokeh in the background background.

It's funny how whenever I’m in Vienna or generally in the city, I hardly ever shoot shots like these but as soon as I'm at my parents‘ or grandma’s house, you will find me squatting somewhere in tall grass (or to put it this way - you won't find me - get it?!) shooting flowers or rain drops. Especially when shooting raindrops and morning dew, I love playing with the light and having different water drops lit and see what looks the best. Honestly, I see it as a game of „which angle gives met he nicest lighting?“ and I can spend HOURS shooting all the water drops on one leaf (and usually when I think I'm done and can go and edit, I find a better one and the whole thing starts again and hate myself for it). It's usually a pretty decent workout too.

Most of these I shot with the Canon RF 35mm f1.8 Macro lens as I can come pretty damn close to the subject which makes the whole procedure a lot easier/quicker. But I used to shoot macro with the nifty fifty 50mm f 1.8 because let’s face it – bokeh in the shots taken with this aperture is simply always lovely and as I poor student, I couldn't afford a better lens.

Here are the photos, let me know what you think!
Have a lovely day,
Jitka
