Week in the Alps

Heyho,
it's been quite some time since I last posted anything. Sorry 'bout that but life was a bit hectic and yeah... *insert some stupid excuse about lack of time when in fact, I actually was just lazy*
So, I'm back with some mountain shots (why can't I just call them "landscapes" like all normal people) from my skiing trip to the Alps.
Oh, I also wanted to wish you a happy new year and all the best in 2019! I hope it's gonna be even better than 2018 was.
Ok back to the Alps and the shots now.
We spent the Christmas there and the slopes were e m p t y. I sometimes even thought that we were the only ones skiing there, which feels pretty awesome, let me tell you that. And I should probably mention where we went (omg I suck at this blogging thing!) - we stayed in Mittersill and went skiing in the KitzSki area (basically the skiing area where Kitzbühel is located, that probably tells you more than some random places in Austria). We got to enjoy sunshine, clouds, fog, rain, snow (the heaviest snow strom ever - but the fresh powder and all the fun in the deep snow where sooooo worth it tho!), so basically everything winter has to offer. And I guess the weather conditions are the reason why I'm not completely satisfied with the shots I took. I got absolutly spoiled last year with the perfect light and clouds and A LOT of snow to create the soft looking cover on all the trees and mountain huts and it wasn't like this this year. But I tried making the most of it and was maxing out my old trusty 600D because I'm too afraid to take my 80D skiing (I have more feelings for this camera than I have for some of my friends, not gonna lie).
I absolutely loooooooooved the whole week tho. There's just nothing like being in the mountains and looking down into the valley and just letting all you worries go (and knowing you can't make na calls or check your social media because there's no signal is quite calming as well). I constantly had one of my favorite songs on my mind: Beartooth - In Between where the lyrics go: Up on the mountain, I see down below, it's easy to lose yourself I know.. (oh the irony - I'm watching the Taylor Swift live concert from her Reputation tour on Netflix right now while writing this; just play the song and you'll know why it's kinda ironic).
Also, I ate all the Käsespätzle I could find which made me really happy. What's your favorite thing to eat while skiing? And you dou even like/go skiing? And where? Let me know!
Ok I've rambled enough about random shit noone cares about, so here are the shots.
And also, if for some weird reason someone from my family is reading this (hello mom/dad, you had no idea your duaghter is this funny, did you?) - DON'T LOOK AT THE PHOTOS, I'VE GOT PLANS WITH THOSE AND YOU SHOULD BE SURPRISED SO JUST GO AWAY NOW (PLEASE)
Whoever made it this far, thank you, have a lovely day and there'll be loads new posts soon (hehehe).
Cheers, Jitka
